Enrolment
The Master's degree course in Political Science can be taken at our institute in both the summer and winter semesters and lasts four semesters.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for students who want to learn more about politics and specialize further after completing their Bachelor's degree. In the Master's program, you can pursue your interest in empirical-quantitative work in comparative politics and international relations as well as focus on classical questions and current debates in political theory and the history of ideas. It is also possible to focus on the "Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany".
Admission requirements
First professionally qualifying university degree (at least B.A. level). Proof of 65 ECTS points in the subject of Political Science. English language skills at level B2 of the "Common European Framework of Reference" (e.g. equivalent to Abitur basic course, FCE, TOEFL/IBT 64).
If you do not have a degree in Political Science, but another degree, please contact the academic advisor to check the admission requirements.
If you have obtained your degree in a country that does not participate in the Bologna Process, you must contact the International Office, which will help you with the recognition of your degree.
Admission procedure and enrolment
If you meet the admission requirements, you can enrol in person or online at the University of Greifswald's Students' Registration Office with the relevant documents.
It is important that you enclose your degree certificate with your enrolment. If you do not yet have a degree certificate, enrolment is also possible on the basis of a current transcript of records. For further information, please contact the Students' Registration Office.
